“Dear Seth,
I just wanted to thank you for being so generous to us struggling parents. About a year ago, you came into our life when my Aspie son was almost with school and social stress. We followed every step you recommend and it has, without question, salvaged his HS career. When we get off our routine we start back at step one and things ALWAYS get better. My son is doing so much better and now I need to help my daughter who is struggling with severe EF issues. Her social problems are not diagnosed as ASD but I wonder how much ADHD and EF play into her inability to socialize with her peers. We keep going back to your advice!
I JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW HOW MUCH YOU HAVE MEANT TO THIS FAMILY!!!! I have told as many teachers and friends as I can about you!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!”

“Four years ago I was adamant about never returning to school. In high school I managed to scrape by, always by the skin of my teeth, always on the verge of nervous collapse. I was “too smart to fail” so my AP teachers overlooked my chronic lateness and missing papers. Then I got to college–disaster.
I suffered through 8 (yes, 8) failed semesters of college and the mere mention of school, 15 years later, still gave me panic attacks. I always started off with A’s, but then everything would spiral out of control and soon I couldn’t even get to class. It was my own private hell.
Then I met Seth…and something in me knew that he had been sent to me to help me go back to school. It was like he was my own guardian angel. Within minutes of talking to him, I somehow knew I would not only return to school, but that I would be really successful at it. I was right.
I just finished my BA in Arts Journalism at the University of Massachusetts, with a 3.9 GPA. Yay! I literally never thought I’d see the day.
Seth is remarkably intuitive–really, it’s almost eerie–and everything he told me was so incredibly spot on. He understood where I was coming from, because he had experienced similar difficulties. He was literally the first person in 25 years who understood my struggles with school, as a gifted student struggling with trauma and executive functioning challenges. Seth is a miracle worker. If I can graduate from college, anyone can, with Seth’s help! I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for me. He changed the entire course of my life. Thank you Seth!”

“A bit over two years ago my daughter was entering her third year at the University of Colorado. She is very bright, creative and thoughtful but was struggling with meeting the academic requirements needed to finish school. She had failed several classes and been on and off probation a couple of times. Therapy had helped somewhat but the results were short lived. She wanted to do better but lacked the organizational skills and focus necessary to fulfill the demands of school.
As parents, we struggled with what direction would be most beneficial for her. I am a clinical psychologist but knew the advantages of good hands on coaching. I called several therapists in the Boulder area to see if they did coaching. Most did not, but one therapist, Heidi Wilson recommended a coach. That was Seth.
I happen to be in Boulder so I was at the initial meeting that Seth had with my daughter. In her words, “he got me right away.” He spoke to us in a calm and clear way about his plans to help her succeed. She was excited about tackling school again for the first time in years. Together they came up with strategies that helped her to focus and take pride, not only in her academics, but in her surroundings. Seth is on top of what needs to be done and the most efficient ways to tackle and complete tasks. His techniques and follow up procedures are outstanding.
Over the course of the last two years she hit some stumbles. The most impressive attribute of Seth is his steadfast dedication. He has never given up on our daughter, even when she has become overwhelmed and wanted to give up. He has taught her to believe in herself.
She is now graduating and will walk in the December ceremony. Seth will be with us at the graduation and share the pride that we all feel. She could not have done it without him.”

“Before working with Seth I was studying for most of the day, every day, with little results to reflect my effort. As my second semester at CU was ending I felt I wasn’t cut out for school and was debating dropping out of college. Fortunately my mother convinced me to work with Seth and give school 1 more shot. I’m glad. The difference is undeniable and the study skills priceless. From time management to study space dedication/set up, as well as study techniques that commit the information to memory over time rather then cramming 3 days before an exam. My stress decreased drastically, I was able to enjoy life and do well in school, my GPA improved from a 2.4 to a 3.6 the first semester. Now I enjoy the school experience!”

“I’ve been meaning to check in to share the good news that Eli really took responsibility for everything last semester and did really well. He is feeling really good about that of course and so am I. Not that it was easy and he is still dealing with high anxiety but now he knows he can do it. And all you taught him was so helpful, especially how to communicate and advocate for himself with teachers. Just want to thank you again for all your support.”

“Every once in a while a teacher or mentor comes along who is pivotal in our pursuit of knowledge. Seth Perler has been that teacher for both of my children. In the classroom he creates a safe environment that respects each individual student, regardless of their challenges, and motivates them to learn through engaging and exciting interaction. He recognizes that learning goes far beyond simple memorization and regurgitation, focusing also on fostering self-confidence, spiritual wholeness and social health. As a coach he uses his talents at the micro level to directly address the individual child’s obstacles, clearing the way for them to take in more knowledge faster. His approach is exciting and it gets results.”

I just wanted to tell you and let you know that you motivated me to be better and to pursue my dreams and ambitions in life, and for that I want to say thank you. Mr. Perler. You have no idea the effect you had on my view of education and life itself. So for that, thank you.

We hired Seth to help prepare our oldest son for the transition into middle school. Seth took the time to put together a plan that incorporated organizational skills, educational skills, personal relationships, health. Although our son still faces some challenges, he is prepared for the transition and is positioned to succeed both academically and socially.
-Kent W., Boulder, CO
Seth has an ability to read people straight off the bat and was able to hit the nail on the head in terms of what I needed help with. He knew where my strengths and weaknesses were so he was able to direct me on a better path.

Mr. Perler, you are the best! You could make anyone’s day just by saying something funny or cheering someone up when they are down. That is certainly true for me. If I ever become famous, I will explain how much you’ve helped me grow and how funny you are. Thanks for believing in me! You do your job well.
