Different colours for different classes can be a game changer for some

Yes, I use a specific color for each subject and have matching folder and spiral notebook color for each subject.
Then I group in expandable polyvinyl envelopes by day. So Tuesday Thursday classes in one envelope, Monday Wednesday classes in another envelope. So if it’s Wednesday, you grab the Monday Wednesday envelope and it has folders and notebooks for classes of that particular day.
Theres also an everyday envelope because some classes are everyday.

Love the Backburner category π and the Encouraging Words.
Adding a simple visual symbol for each category along with a colour can help

For iPhone users – set an alarm for events on Calendar app, and/or create alarms in Clock for daily events (you can even name them, like βpick up kidsβ pops up for my 2pm alarm M-F).

Helpful. Especially using basic resources such as google docs instead of additional new apps… I’m wondering about how to balance (use) monthly calendar for big overview but/and online reminders/alarms about smaller things – hard to do some of each and yet I don’t think all paper or all online is the best fit.

I do a “brain dump” on a sheet of paper (or notes in phone) if I have a bunch of small tasks that need to get done. Then I number them as 1’s (very important – need to be done today), 2’s (important but can be done in the next day or two) & 3’s (can be done whenever I have some time). Sometimes tasks aren’t really that important at all, and can be eliminated altogether.
Then I prioritize from there for that day. If possible, I try not to have more than a few big things that have to be done that day so I don’t feel overwhelmed.
